Marine Zero Wins MarineTech Award for Platform Driving Maritime Decarbonisation
Marine Zero’s Maritime Analytics Platform – MAP – has been recognised at the Tech South West Awards 2025, winning the Best in MarineTech Award for its pivotal role in driving maritime decarbonisation. Alongside the win, Marine Zero was also shortlisted in the Sustainability and CleanTech categories.
As ports, vessel owners, and operators face increasing regulatory and commercial pressure to cut emissions while maintaining operational performance, MAP has emerged as a transformative solution – bringing clarity, precision, and real-world feasibility to the clean energy transition.
MAP applies a data fusion approach, combining AIS records, onboard power analytics, vessel specifications, and port infrastructure intelligence into a unified, evidence-based roadmap for electrification. This integrated view enables operators to model scenarios, understand operational impact, plan infrastructure, and make informed investment decisions with confidence.
Tim Munn, Marine Zero’s Managing Director, said:
“We developed MAP to give vessel owners, fleet operators, and ports a clear, practical route through the challenges of decarbonisation. Eliminating emissions can’t just be an aspiration – operators need actionable, financially sound pathways they can actually follow, and that’s exactly what MAP delivers.”
The MarineTech award was presented to the team by Ben Stirling, Co-founder of Made with Maturity.
